IDT was born in 2016 from an idea of a person who has lived for 20 years in the world of robotics (ABB) and system integrators (SACMI), who at some point began to think that automation within the world industrial could be rethought in a different way by starting to evaluate and enhance the world of open source and the new products that were creating start-ups around Europe.
In order to achieve this, it was essential to start with very young technicians, not “polluted” by traditional approaches. And now, from 2016 until today, we went from a turnover of 80 KEuros to 1.400 KEuros and from 2 to 13 people.
The average age of the people in the company is less than 26 years old, the net assets is 10% of the turnover. 90% of the turnover is in the world of TIER 1 Automotive in Italy, Spain and Poland (final customer is FCA, VW Group and BMW), through the main TIER1 society, such as SOAG for example, which have accepted and have now also by specifications the solutions proposed by IDT which are different from traditional automation solutions (Siemens, etc …). The remaining 10% is in the world of agriculture and is the result of a first approach to worlds outside the automotive (medical and food).
